Darius Rucker
I finally got the chance to cover an artist that I have always loved to watch and listen to, Darius Rucker, formerly of the group Hootie And The Blowfish at Wild Bill's in Duluth (Atlanta), Georgia on Thursday, September 25, 2008 for http://www.georgia-country.com.
Darius performed songs that he made famous while with Hootie And The Blowfish as well as songs from his latest top selling CD.
I don't have as many photos as you are used to seeing from me of the artist because Mr. Rucker's security people singled me out for some reason and told me I was not allowed to take photos of the event.
This is the first time I have been told that I could not shoot an event at all. I have been told to shoot only the first 2-3 songs. I've been told not to shoot video. But I have never been told that I could not shoot anything at all for the publication that I shoot for.
What you see here is what I shot up to the point they said to stop shooting. I always try to honor the wishes of the artist and/or his/her people. So when they said stop, I did so immediately. Still, it was a very good show by a great artist.
