Fire Truck Pull
July 31, 2021-Fayetteville, Georgia-Ten person teams pull a 44,000 pound Fayetteville Fire Department firetruck, competing for top times in the first ever City of Fayetteville Fire Truck Pull at the Fayette Pavilion shopping center in the Cinemark Tinseltown parking lot.
Using a rope, teams pull one of the City of Fayetteville's reserve fire trucks for a distance of 50 feet. The teams are timed to see who is the fastest. The fastest team gets medals and bragging right until next year. along with medals and bragging rights!
In the, "First Responder Showdown,* between the Fayetteville Fire and Police Departments and the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, the Fayette County Sheriff's Department takes the win for the gold medals.
All proceeds from this event go to Bloom, a Fayetteville-based children’s charity.
