Georgia Highway 314 Police Chase
December 20, 2022-Fayetteville, Georgia-Late Tuesday afternoon, the Georgia Highway Patrol pursues a stolen vehicle into Fayette County. Joined by the Fayette County Sheriff's Department and the Fayetteville Police Department, the chase continues north on Georgia Highway 314 to the Olivet Baptist Church where the 16 year old junvenile suspect pulls over and jumps from the vehicle. The suspect flees into the wooded area behind the church and goes eastbound where he crosses over Morning Road.
The area is quickly surrounded by local law enforcement. Assisted by a drone and two K-Officers, the suspect is captured in the wooded area between Morning Road and Georgia Highway 279.
