2022 National Night Out

August 2, 2022-Fayetteville, Georgia-Celebrated the first Tuesday of August, the 2022 National Night Out is a national event that enhances the relationship between citizens and law enforcement. National Night Out also provides a wonderful opportunity to bring neighbors, law enforcement and other first responders together under positive conditions.

Geddie was recognized by Mayor Johnson for his distinguished military service in World War II and to celebrate Geddie's 100th birthday. Geddie was also visited by Fayette County Sheriff, Barry Babb.<br />

Geddie served in the U.S. Navy 1943-1946 in the Pacific Theatre of the war in places such as Hollandis and New Guinea. He ferried Admiral Nimtz and General McArthur several times to the mainland.<br />
