Armed Robbery at G & L Pawn Shop in North Fayette
August 18, 2020-Fayetteville, Georgia-An armed robbery at the G & L Pawn Shop in north Fayette County at the corner of Kenwood Road and Georgia Highway 85, didn't turn out the way the robber had hoped it would when the clerk at the pawn shop pulled his own gun and shot at the robber. It is not known if the robber was shot as he fled on foot across Georgia Highway 85, dropping stolen merchandise such as jewelry and coins along the way.
Fayette County Sheriff's Department Deputies, assisted by K-9 Officers from the City of Fayetteville Police Department attempted to capture the suspect as they tracked him north along Highway 85. At this time there is no description of the suspect.
