North Fayette County Power Outage
June 28, 2020-Fayette County, Georgia-An early Sunday morning falling tree near the intersection of Georgia Highway 314 and Georgia Highway 279 takes a down power pole, lines and transformer causing power loss to much of north Fayette County.
In addition to causing power outages to many homes in the area, power is lost at the traffic light at the intersection of Georgia Highway 314 and Kenwood Road causing a safety hazard and traffic nightmare for the Fayette County Sheriff's Department.
The Fayette County Sheriff's Department quickly deployed as many as five Deputies to direct traffic and to pull over the many drivers who chose to disregard the temporay stop signs placed at the intersection.
