Two Car Collision
July 18, 2021-Fayetteville, Georgia-Fayetteville and Fayette County First responders answer a call around 10:30 A.M. about a two car collision, with one overturned vehicle on Georgia Highway 85, just south of Fun Spot America.
One vehicle was flipped on it's side and the other vehicle continued south on Georgia 85. The female driver of the of the second vehicle called in moments later from the Fayette Pavilion, where she had pulled over to report that she had not realized that she was involved in the accident until she had driven further south on Highway 85.
Before first responders arrived, passersby were able to rescue a woman and a child from the overturned vehicle. Southbound traffic was stopped or re-routed back north on Highway 85 for approximately 45 minutes until the overturned vehicle was removed.
The extent of injuries is not known, but did not appear to be life threatening.
