1st Lt. Robert Collins

Coming home. April 15, 2010. Collins, a 2004 graduate of Sandy Creek High School in Tyrone, GA, was killed April 7 by an IED (improvised explosive device) while he was serving in Tal Abdah (near Mosul), northern Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, Fort Stewart, Ga.. Thousands of Fayette County residents turned out to show their respects to this brave young man.
