Saturday, June 2, 2012. Fayetteville, GA. Fayette County emergency and law enforcement personel responded to a three car accident at the intersection of Georgia Highway 85 and Porter Road. There were eight passengers in the three vehicles and only minor injuries reported. According to witnesses, the accident was caused by a southbound vehicle attempting to pass in a non-passing zone. Fayette County Deputy, Donnie Smith directs traffic while paramedics tend to the minor injuries.

Headlining this distinguished list of baseball players are From left to right..... Lawrence "Pop" Williams born in Lagrange, Ga Feb 9th 1933. Played for Kansas City Monarchs 1954-55. James "Red" Moore born in Atlanta, Ga Nov 18th 1916. Played for the Atlanta Black Crackers 1935, 1938 and 1946-48. Sam Allen born Apr 25, 1936 Norfolk, Virginia. Played for Kansas City Monarchs 1957, Raleigh Tigers 1958 and Memphis Red Sox 1959. Ken Free Played for the Raleigh Tigers 1957. Interviewing them are Mike "Stinger" Glenn, Color Commentator of the Atlanta Hawks and Derrick Dalton, will be on hand to interview this important part of history. Khari Caver, from Riverdale, GA, gets a baseball bat autographed by Lawrence "Pop" Williams.
